AOBAKI

Ceremonial matcha and hojicha from Matsushita Tea Garden in Kakegawa, Shizuoka. Grown and stone-milled in Japan. Packed and shipped from Lānaʻi, Hawaiʻi.

One garden. One harvest.

Everything Aobaki sells comes from a single family farm near Mt. Fuji. We buy the garden’s highest grade in small lots, several times a year, so what reaches you is this season’s tea.

Shipped from Lānaʻi

Aobaki began at Rainbow Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy in Lanai City, Hawaiʻi, where Kert Shuster, Pharm.D., started importing this matcha for his own counter and could not stop giving it to friends.

The tea is grown, processed, and milled in Shizuoka, Japan. It is packed and shipped from Lanai City, an island of about three thousand people, by a company small enough that the person who answers the phone is the person who tasted the lot.
